A No-Paint Upcycle!

Good Morning!

This is a blog with a difference, because absolutely no paint was used in this upcycle. As much as I enjoy painting and refreshing furniture, sometimes it's not always necessary.

This octagonal pine table has been stored away for a good few years and now my client is moving into her new home. The sturdy table has been in her family for over 40 years and has great sentimental value. As we know with pine, eventually it turns yellow/orange over time and this was no excuse. Add lots of wear and tear, dents and scratches, it really had seen better days.

My client decided on a mid to dark rich stain on this table, rather than covering with paint. That way the beauty of the wood can still be seen and the colour would be a classic match for her white kitchen.

As you can see, it really is quite striking now and ready for it's new home and hopefully another 40 years good service.

Bye for now
