Do you love mouldings, but only need to use a few and don't want to purchase a reusable silicone mould? Then ready to go FlexyWood moulds are what you need.
Flexywood mouldings have all the properties of wood and can be treated like normal wood at room temperature. You can sand, paint, stain, cut, drill or distress them and they can be applied to furniture, doors, windows, plant pots and more. Alternatively, when you heat the mouldings, they will bend and stretch at will. This gives you the opportunity to fix the mouldings to any flat or curved surface. After the FlexyWood moulding has cooled, it will remain in the position you shaped it in.
How to use FlexyWood moulds:
To affix to the surface, apply wood glue to the back of the moulding evenly (not too thick) and ensure that the glue reaches the edges. Hold into place for a brief moment and then check that the entire mould is affixed by patting down gently from the centre to the edges. Wipe away any glue that may have seeped out from the edges. Now your mould is ready to stain or paint.
To bend or stretch your mould, you will need to apply heat. This can be achieved with a hairdryer, heat gun or microwave. If using a heat gun, which is more intense, ensure that you evenly distribute the heat across the mould. When your mould is warm enough to shape, do so by stretching or holding it in place along the curve/corner that you intend to glue it on.
