Tip: All matt finish varnishes can leave a cloudy haze over very dark colours. To avoid this happening, you can tint the matt varnish with a little bit of your paint or alternatively, apply a satin or gloss varnish first and then finish with your matt top coat. The latter option will increase durability too!
