Vintage Gold (Metallic)

These metallic paints work just as regular Fusion Mineral Paints do! Apply to virtually any surface, follow the same prep rules and you’re all set to add some metallic to your decor!

The beautiful iridescent sheen of our Vintage Gold Metallic is perfect for adding stunning accents with a touch of vintage glamour.

Tip 1: Before painting with your preferred metallic colour, paint a coat of solid colour underneath that is similar, as metallics are fairly transparent this will help with coverage and give a good foundation:

• For Pearl use Raw Silk or Victorian Lace

• For Champagne/Champagne Gold use Champlain 

• For Copper use Mustard or Tuscan Orange 

• For Bronze use Lichen or Bedford 

• For Brushed Steel use Little Lamb 

• For Pale Gold use Buttermilk Cream, Plaster or even Cranberry with a little distressing for that true old worn gold effect

• For Rose Gold use Damask or Rose Water 

• For Silver use Sterlng, Pebble or Little Lamb 

• For Vintage Gold use Cathedral Taupe or go for a twist with Cranberry

Tip 2: Try mixing with our Clear Glaze for a subtle metallic effect over any colour. Glaze also extends the ‘open’ time you have to work with the product making it perfect for achieving blended effects.

To achieve a flawless finish, on application of your last coat, work the brush in one direction only for the very last time to ensure the pigments are uniform. (Working the brush from left to right will alter the way the pigments catch the light).
